Alouette Lake

Original: oil on hardboard panel 16 x 24” (sold)

Atmospheric perspective is evident here. Atmospheric perspective is the effect of humidity or particulate in the air, which causes the view to be increasingly obscured the further the view is into the distance. Here it creates a layered effect of the mountains around Alouette Lake, in beautiful British Columbia.

Sparkling sunshine on the dancing waves creates a magical ambience.
