Prairiescapes are minimalistic, with unobstructed views. During my many trips through 'Big Sky Country', my subconscious instincts were to just head out and go to the crest on the distant skyline - to walk freely and uninhibited to wherever my feet would lead. My mother's teen years were spent in this terrain. I remember her telling me about her thoughts of walking to the mountains on the horizon. This big, wide open countryside can give you the illusion that you can proceed anywhere.
