Lofty Mountain Grandeur

Original: oil on hardboard panel 18 x 22 1/4” (not sold)

The colour of the cold water of Moraine Lake in the Valley of Ten Peaks in Banff National Park is a result of glacial rock flour. In my many visits to this location, I always noticed how the chroma of the lake is intense, yet the water is also so clear.

A couple of mule deer drink from the edge of the lake.

Those who are familiar will recognize that that the title comes from a line of a hymn.
